About Me

Hi, I’m Molly (LMSW).

I work with caregivers, older adults, people looking for support navigating grief and loss, and individuals navigating big life transitions.

As a therapist I show up with compassion and curiosity–you are the expert on your experience and we will work together at your pace. Sessions would be individualized to meet you where you are.

I offer virtual therapy sessions for individuals in New York State. At this time, I am not in-network with any insurance.

  • I am experienced at supporting people managing grief and loss, navigating and processing anticipatory grief, or processing the impact of a traumatic experience. There is no one way to grieve and grief does not have a timeline. As a therapist I aim to meet you where you are and go at your pace to support you in expressing yourself, develop coping skills, and integrate your grief into your life.

  • I support people who identify as caregivers, particularly adult children of older adults who may be navigating issues such as emerging health and care needs of a parent or loved one, challenging family dynamics, or difficulty with self-care. I am also experienced at working with caregivers of young children and also enjoy supporting individuals who identify as caregivers through their work. I support people who might be questioning who they are outside of being a caregiver, exploring deeply held beliefs about receiving or providing care, or are looking for support in managing symptoms of anxiety or caregiver fatigue and burnout.

  • I support older adults around issues related to aging, including social isolation, illness, interpersonal and family conflicts, and impacts of systems of oppression. I support clients in telling their stories, facing challenges with compassion and curiosity, and supporting them in living authentically and fully as they age. text goes here

  • I support women who experience anxiety and may feel stuck, overwhelmed, struggling to express themselves, or just want support navigating a major life transition. My role as a therapist is to assist with reflection, hold perspective, and gently challenge you on patterns or coping skills that may no longer support or align with your core self. I have an empathic approach and bring curiosity to sessions with an aim to help clients decrease shame, increase self empathy, and increase connection with self and others.

My Approach To Therapy

During sessions my work with clients is individualized, and I draw from my training in person-centered psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, the mind-body connection, and systems theory.

I believe therapy can be transformative when it is collaborative. I’ve seen how powerful the healing relationship can be and also understand that it can take time to build trust.

My approach is:

Collaborative: Each session we will work together to build a space where you feel seen and empowered

Systems lens perspective: We don’t exist in isolation from our relationships and context, and in sessions we can identify and explore the impact of systems in your life and how different parts interact and show up in your life.

Relational: We grow and heal in relationship and connection, and therapy offers a space to build a healing relationship and build on your sense of self.

IFS informed: Internal Family Systems offers a lens of perspective and presence to view ourselves as having parts and a core self, and ways to engage with our parts with curiosity. This can be useful in working with trauma memories and help shift from automatic beliefs to awareness and more choice.

Working Together To Move Forward

With therapy, clients find increased self awareness, compassion, and clarity, helping them to gain confidence in expressing themselves in their relationships and developing resilience.

I am a licensed social worker (LMSW) in New York State. I received my MSW from NYU Silver School of Social Work.

I have a BA from Dickinson College in Art & Art History. I also have a MA in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College and a MS in City & Regional Planning from Pratt Institute.

I’m also SIFI-certified (Hunter College).
