Therapy for Trauma, PTSD, & Substance Abuse

Understand Your Present & Your Past
My specialty is therapy for substance use and abuse, trauma, and PTSD- seeing patients in-person in New York City, and virtual sessions with anyone throughout New York State or New Jersey. At this time, I am not in-network with any insurance except Aetna Student Health.
I work with people who have had traumatic experiences or difficult life events that have led them to rely on coping mechanisms, such as substance use or other behaviors that no longer serve them. I help people feel more connected to that part of themselves that craves to create secure connections with others.
If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Many of us get stuck in cycles that keep us feeling defeated and disconnected from our true selves as well as those we care about.
My Therapy Specialties:
Trauma & PTSD
Substance Abuse
EMDR
Perinatal and postpartum mental health
What Therapy With Me Is Like
In our work together, we will identify the needs you are trying to meet with these coping mechanisms and explore healthier, more fulfilling ways to meet them.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based interventions, including:
EMDR
Internal Family Systems
Somatic Therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Through our sessions, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and comfortable being your true self both in therapy and in your everyday life.
Together, we can work towards fostering posttraumatic growth and healing, leading to more fulfilling relationships with yourself and others.
Results From This Therapy
Many of my clients experience a deeper sense of self-awareness and emotional resilience, helping them navigate both trauma and substance-related challenges more effectively.
As we explore and address the underlying needs driving your coping mechanisms, whether related to trauma or substance use, you may find that your reliance on these behaviors diminishes, replaced by healthier strategies that align with your values and goals.
Improved relationships with yourself and others often emerge as trust and connection are rebuilt.
Ultimately, our therapy sessions can foster a renewed sense of purpose and belonging, allowing you to feel more comfortable being your true self both in and out of therapy.
